Norman and Chewy's Casa
So with summer over and the rains returning we needed to build a better area for the ever growing Norman and Chewy. We choose to build a lean-to on the back side of the shop because its well protected from the wind and rain. The boys helped setting the posts in concrete and Shan and I framed, roofed and sided it. It's not done yet but the kids are already using it.

Sadness
We are grieving here because of the loss of "Copper" our beloved Frog. Our best recollection is that we have had him since our family started. The cool thing about Copper is that he has always hung out with us... In the great room at our last house, and in our Living room here. Day after day and holidays too. The great thing about Copper is he hung out with us every night right here with us and he never barked, cried, begged, escaped, got in the garbage or had a accident on the carpet. This was a real tear jerker for sure from all of us. We don't know how he died. If he succome to cancer or old age, It's just hard to look over and not see him there anymore.
Lime tree
When we bought our little farm house and started to buy some plants for it, Shan wanted a lime tree. I thought she was crazy and didn't think they would grow in Oregon. Boy was I wrong. The fledgling tree started with these little flower blooms at the beginning of summer and they turned into tasty limes. When you cut the limes open they are full of flavor, juice and pulp. And has that tart lime smell too. Our little Lime tree has survived several deer attacks to produce 5 limes . Funny, the whole reason why Shan wanted a lime tree was because she likes a slice of lime in her ice cold beer!

Halloween party
In true Jensen Bese tradition we had our annual Halloween party. Isaac's family and some of the boys close friends came over for some good old fashioned fun. They carved pumpkins, bobbed for apples, smashed a pinata, ate donuts off a string, and ended the night by playing kick the can. Super fun times to be had.

Grape Stomp Party
So with summer ending we wanted to have a thank you dinner party for our close friends who helped us get into our new house. Garlic chicken, Hawaiian potato salad and a big caesar salad were on the menu. The grape stop was the entertainment. Luke and Robbie probably got a little too close to the grape juice because they reported a serious itch after sitting in the grape pool. They tasted super sweet and it was fun to do. Super big "Thanks " to our peeps!
