Shan's project
So, Shan had what I originally thought was a hair-brained idea, which turned into a really cool wall. Shan set up a project area in the driveway complete with covered area to keep you out of the heat while you saw-all off the boards and prep them with a little belt sanding, then the stain is applied. Different tones she used so every board is different. Sawzalling the boards off also kept the original

nails in all the boards. It is hard work to collect the pallets, recruit some family members to help transform pallets to reclaimed wood, stain it, and lay out the final project in rows to dry. Love the wall... We are going to use the middle support boards from the pallets that has the manufacture stamped on it as a header on the back side of the room.

Cool image
This picture is very worthy to make the blog. Is Benny almost as tall as Jet already??? He's going to be a big boy for sure. Check out the image. Hummm... Benny is growing fast and is way cool. He's a great addition to our camp. We love him. He's fitting in perfectly with our family . He was only eleven weeks old when I took this picture last week when Shan left to go to the store. Where's momma going?

Benny gos to the beach
Benny got his first experience with the beach. It was a beautiful day - warm and nice. Benny swam and played and was happy to just hang with us and not try to run off. That's just not on his radar. Benny is a celeb everywhere he goes with his puppy cuteness. We love him. Benny wasn't the only boy who had a big day and slept on the way home. Meanwhile Jet has been better than ever. He's cool with his new brother..JPG)

Lake Billy Chinook
We got our first summer family camping trip in last week. Loaded to capacity was the truck and boat. Four nights at
Lake Billy Chinook. It was great. Shan survived her second tube ride. Benny swam, tubed, boated, napped, paddle boarded, and swam to shore to use the banos. HaHa! And Benny was super fantastic at the camp site not having to be tethered. Chris and Cody came with us and it was fun to hang out with little phone service and no internet. Cove Palisades camp ground was a cool place for boys to explore a new place to ride their long boards too.

Benny's first week
Benny had a big first week here. Boating, swimming, sleeping, playing, and meeting the bunnies. He also has his first play date with his brother who by happen chance, lives just a few miles away. They both played hard and and soon they were napping together. Benny also got his first night out on the water in the boat. Detroit fourth of July. He's been doing great with his potty training, and Jet has done just as good too. They play pretty good together. Benny is funny...where he falls asleep is cute, and when he naps he's comatose. When his battery is full he is a ball of fire. My farm shoes have survived several Benny attacks. Still not too coordinated and runs into things and falls over a lot. Benny's seven weeks old now and doing great!.JPG)

Benny goes boating
In typical Jensen Bese fashion, we took Benny boating right off the bat. He did great. Swam a few times with the boys - with his big boy life jacket on. It was hot, over 90 degrees so we kept him cool and in the shade. Even a few ice cubes on his back while taking a nap. He pretty much slept through Shan's first tube ride of the year. He's laid back. Car, boat, pickup, he is ok with all of it. One small note...The people on the beach said they could hear Shan screaming all the way around the corner of the river. At one point I did not know who was louder me laughing, or her screaming. I didn't buck her off, and nobody lost a eye..JPG)

Benny's here!
OMG. Today was a total ten for our camp. Benny is in the house! We traveled up to Oregon City this morning with four VERY excited boys ready to interact with the puppies and pick one out. We played with them for a while and it was pretty obvious which one was Benny. I actually grabbed him and put him on my lap and he fell asleep. The other two were rampaging around. We asked the boys to step out side and Shan and I finalized the decision and introduced Benny to the boys. The boys were ecstatic and Shan cried. Twelve minutes each, was that was on Shan's I Phone timer, for each of the boys to hold him on the way home. Shan got a turn too with Benny draped over her shoulder. He did great sleeping most of the way home. Laid back is Benny, but he has proved to have a lot of energy too. He was so tuckered out at the end of the day. Parks took him up to the office and back several times with Benny in tow without a leash. He had dinner out side next to us at the picnic table, unleashed and entertaining us. He got a bath and right now, as I write this, he is asleep in Park's and Nick's room between them. Tomorrow when he wakes up, the boys will be right there for that little man. History is being written.
