Shannie's school update

Just in case you haven't heard, Shan has gone back to school full time. She is going to finish up her bachelors degree, so she can teach elementary school. We are so proud of her, and she has taken to it head on. So she gave her first presentation last week and nailed it. She showed us her "chalk board", which was an author study. "Shel Silverstein" was the author. The balloons have different activities for different subjects, it's all put for interactive reading. The picture doesn't show how great it really is. Shan laid it out on the dinning room table. It was so cool. She used a lot of resources to make her presentation, and she intends to use it in the future for her classroom. The art work is really unique, and all her ideas tie it together. One of her class's is psychology,..?!?!()!? Oh boy, I know she will have me on the couch confessing to something I didn't do.

"10" Babys

Secretly Shan and I must have a death wish, because we had a big maamma jamma sleep over last weekend with... Yep, 10 boys total. It was a reward to the boys for doing so good transitioning back to school. Each got to invite a buddy. We had a great game of flag football, it was really fun and the weather was great. Even some dads played. The boys played hard and ate good too. We had to move some of the furniture out of the great room upstairs to make room for them to camp out, and have a movie night. The next day it looked like a bomb hit. Shan had the waffles going in the morning, and the boys talked about their story's. All and all, it was a lot of work but, super fun, and they have already asked to do it again. Oh boy!!!

I caught Jake

I caught a snake. Yep, "Jake the snake" got some human interactions today. It is not every day you catch a snake. He was a Oregon State fan, sporting black skin with an orange strip. I was alone at the house doing chores, and saw him on the RV pad. He scared the crap out of me, and I'm not found of snakes. I had to try to catch him for the boys. Got a bucket in front of him, and took a shovel behind him, and scooped him in. "Got him." I sent Shan a text right away with the news for the boys. Of coarse they wanted to hold him, Shan too. Luke was the brave one, picking him up first, and he got to release him back into freedom.

Halloween fun

The boys have been busy decorating the house, in and out, with the Halloween deco. I can tell Its going to be a super fun month. The boys are really into the spirit this year, and were going to see Michael Jackson, A gorilla, Star Wars fighter, and a Bleeding Dead Guy, that actually pumps red blood. Shan is doing a great job customizing all the costumes. The "boys", are so funny how they decorate the house. Found a beetle on the toilet seat, a plastic rats in the water fountian, and even I, put a rubber snake in Parker's bed.
