Spring Garden

We got an early jump on getting the plants going this season. The carrots and potatoes have really taken off. The Walla Walla sweets, peas, and rhubarb are doing great too. Shan's color spots and her crazy mutant raspberry/strawberry plant are kicking good too. Wonder what the berries are going to taste like? We got a new pot for the small water feature, and we moved my wake board bench from the office to the patio. I implemented a new program with watering all the plants. Changed out the hoses and sprinklers to accommodate the plants and the yard making it a ton easier to water. And first and foremost we have gotten the outdoor stereo system up and rockin.

Super sized salad

Norman and Chewy got a nice surprise with a pick up load of debris from the spring clean up at the boat club. After we thru the debris over the fence it looked like a giant salad for the kids. Sticker bushes seemed to be Chewey's fav. Norman looked on as Chewey wolfed down a sticker bush. But all of it was heaven for them. They almost completely ate it all and chewed off all the bark off the larger branches too. Norman and Chewy are happy with their belly's full and completely recycled the debris into fertilizer. .

New tube

So last Wednesday we got the boys out to the boat club for the first time this year. Blew up the new tube and took it out for what was suppose to be a shake down run to see how the tube reacts. At first I took it nice and easy with the boys signaling to speed up. So after a few short rides with the boys switching places we got a lot more confident with the new tube and started going normal speed as we have in the past. But the new tube caught big air and launched all the boys off - they went flying. Shan had a small heart attack and I was in BIG trouble. We scooped the boys up with all of them laughing saying..Again Again! The new tube is a work in progress and the boys are up for dialing it in, but not sure Shan is?

First time out 2014

Shan, Chris, and I woke up our baby and had a great evening on the river at the boat club for the very first time this season. Backing the boat down the ramp for the first time of the season felt great. The water was high and fast, but flat. So Chris put his wet suit on and hit it. A sweet ride for his first time this year. Shan dug into the wet suit compartment and found hers. She too rode great and then they were looking at me, so under (peer pressure), I rode too. It was a great ride, the water was butter. Had a little dinner, and floated around on the river. Felt great, and at dusk Shan parked our baby perfectly on the trailer. Again, again! .

A big day

Robbie turned fifteen and the biggest event was getting his drivers permit. He missed it twice by one, and on the third try he Aced it. He's a good driver and has two great coaches to teach him. So now he is our built-in chauffeur.

Easter 2014

We woke up to a beautiful sunny Easter. A perfect day for a old fashioned egg hunt. That sneaky Easter bunny put not only candy in the eggs but money too. After the hunt the boys took stock in their loot on the picnic table. All the boys got a treasure trove of treats, including an Easter basket with boarding shorts and other goodies in it and... A new four person tube. Yep, gotta break that bad boy in soon!
