Robbie's fourteen

Yep Robbie had his fourteenth birthday last Saturday. He started his birthday weekend with a sleep over party. Saturday Robbie and I had a epic golf match where the lead went back and forth till the last hole. His tee shot was fantastic, two hundred plus yard straight down the fairway, and he never looked back. He finished with a forty nine, to my fifty. Shan's spaghetti was what Robbie wanted for dinner, and cake from Gonditorei afterwards. He got lots of cool gifts, starting with Parker's gift first. Parks wrapped up five dollar bill out of his own money, and give it to Robbie. Robbie's big present was a Nike fuel band. Chris and Codie came over and we all had a good time with Chris's traditional funny gift cards. Sunday was a group bike ride from our camp to the mall downtown so the boys could spend some of their money. Look out for next year, Robbie starts driving, Yikes!

No babies yet

Taking my life in my own hands I have been watching this robin's nest that is one of three nests above my office door. Getting dive bombed is no fun and I'm not trying to upset momma bird, but we're curious to see the babies come into this world. I do feel bad for the momma because every time I go in or out of the office she takes off. She can also make alot of noise with her voice and wings when protecting her babies. If I live through this I will post pictures of the little baby's. Film at 11:00.

Family outing

On this nice sunny afternoon we loaded up the bikes and long boards and headed to Minto Brown park for a family ride. Robbie and Luke brought their long boards and Shan, Nick, Parks and I brought our bikes. It was so nice to get the bikes out after a long winter and tuned them up. It was a nice ride. We got a special spring treat when we saw baby bald eagles. The river looked very inviting as Nick and Shan had to get their feet wet. Shan's so cool, she packed lunch treat and water for when we took our breaks to explore. What a great ride.

Norman and Chewy are ONE!

Happy birthday Norman and Chewy. Yep, on April 4, 2012 those two kids were born and taken from their mom, bottle fed for two days till Shan and I drove down to Roseburg and they were united with their new mom and dad and joined the Jensen Bese camp. What a drive back that was with the boys snuggled together in Shan's lap in the pick-up. They were so very cute and small. They stayed in the laundry room at first till they were big enough to safely stay out with the bunnies. Everybody got to bottle feed them and that went on for nine weeks. As they were getting bigger and teeth comming in they graduated to the pasture. Funny thing...I have never had to mow that area since. Today Norman and Chewy are doing great and their personalities are ever growing. Happy birthday kids!

Happy Easter

That sneaky Easter bunny struck here again, bringing the boys Easter egg baskets and a ton of eggs with treasures in them. So after opening their baskets, Shan and I locked the boys in the house and went out and hid all the eggs, even the hard boiled custom home decorated ones. We then gathered the boys at the door, then one, two, three... the hunt was on. All the boys were running around crazy finding and collecting the eggs. When the dust settled they gathered out on the patio to take stock of their loot. Being bunny's Pebbles and Bambam got treats too on this special day.

Parks crafts

Lately Parks has been busy with either cooking, drawing, building, and his last two projects are excellent. He made a new bowl for Jet, and a bird house for the back yard. Jets dish is so cool. Perfectly decorated and according to Jet, it's perfect. The other day Parker just decided to head out to the shop a make a bird house. Thats way cool for me because the shop is very much kid friendly and at any time any of the boys can go out there make what ever they can dream up. I think its important that the boys learn how to use the tools, and how to build and repair things. Wonder what Parks next project is going to be?
