New sign

Finally the moon's have alined. It wasn't raining, freezing, windy, busy, gone, basketball practice, basketball games, or doing other chores so I got my home made sign up. Shan and the boys made it for me for Christmas. It has some of the coolest places we have vacationed at. I recruited Luke to help because digging post holes is my least favorite chore and Luke is always up for a project. Luckly I got a new post hole digger for Valentines from Shan so it made digging the hole a little easier. Luke and I mixed up a nice batch of concrete, and secured it in the ground. Big thanks to Luke. Im ready to add some new locations, lets go on vacation again!

Nubian strike

I guess Norman and Chewy needed more fiber in their diet because the have chewed the bark off this apple tree. I think the tree is a goner. This weird looking apple tree almost got cut down when we moved in because its looks decrepit. Well, glad we didn't because when summer came it beared the best red sweet apples out of all of our trees. If you look closely you can see they have chewed a long way up the tree and its chewed off smooth like somebody took sandpaper to it. Hope they don't start eating the barn!

Happy Valentines

Valentines is for sure the sweetest holiday of the year. Sweetest because Shan always makes the house smell so good with all her baking she does for the boys. Its not unusal to see the boys lick the beaters and the bowls not to let any sweetness go to waist. Sweetness too because I have one of the sweetest girls on the planet, and every Valentines day I ask her to be mine. And she is!

Jan's new diggs

Eric brought over his excavator and we cut in a RV pad and drive
way for Jan's new place at the back corner of our property. We really wanted Jan to move into the third building but we just don't have the time to do all the updating required to live in it. So plan "B" is in full swing. Jan bought a real nice fifth wheel with a large slide out. She has already started remodeling it with her furniture and things. The RV is a clean ride and we have gone thru it from stem to stern. After the excavation, Shan ordered up a few loads of gravel, we did some tree and blackberry trimming, and luke got on the compactor. We give full credit to Luke for building a nice set of stairs from scratch. Hand rail to follow. I think Jan and Toby are really going to love the country life.

Shamu video

Last night I took my Iphone video footage from Sea World and put together a video. Blogspot doesn't support videos anymore, so I have been putting them on my you tube channel. If you want to see the video simply copy and paste the link on your browser. http://youtu.be/hzy60pfP0Fc

Norman and Chewy update

Our little kids are growing up. They are still babies because they just turned nine months old. Chewy has continued to be the brains, and Norman the brawn. They are super fury with their winter coats on. One thing that is guaranteed with them is that every morning (unless its raining) they stand at the gate watching for us to come out of the house. After a while they will graze a little bit but between the two of them there is always one eye on the house. Finally after a while they get distracted and move on. Tomorrow morning they will be at the gate again for sure. It's so much fun to go out there and interact with them, and watch them grow.
