Secret number two
Parks got to open secret # two.
It was a over night trip to Seaside. We had a blast. The boardwalk is stellar. It didn't take long for the boys to find the arcade and kick this vacation into high gear. While exploring the board we ran across this really cool Carousel mini mall and the boys just had to ride it. Robbie made a great find...A bucking Shark, hilarious is the under statement. So funny when the boys got bucked off. The operator of "Jaws" was great too, he bucked off all the boys multiple times. Luke stayed on the longest - 52 seconds, I think it was his long legs. Later we watched bowl football games and hit the pool and hot tub. Today we hit board walk again and played on the beach. We went to the Seaside Aquarium and all the boys fed the seals. Before we left we stopped at the Outlet mall and the boys spent some of their Christmas money at the Nike store. Yea... Number two was a blast!

Suprise one
Today the boys got their first secret surprise. They rock-paper-scissored to see who got to open the surprise. Luke won and tore open the box. Inside were tickets for us to take a cruse on the Willamette Queen. It's the Stern-wheeler at Salem's water front park. The weather was great and the sun came out for a great ride on the river. We all got to drive it, and the Captain was super nice. A great first surprise... Whats the next surprise? .

Christmas tewnty thirteen
Christmas vacation in our camp is far and away our favorite time of year. Just all the Christmas excitement is enough to get the boy's all fired up. Secretly even though Christmas day has passed, Shan and I have more surprises for the boys with some planed activities over the rest of their vacation. Christmas day was great with the boys discovering Santa's presents all together at the same time. The boys got pretty much everything on their lists, with them wanting more clothes than toys. But they all got RC copters to fly around. Parks got a new chair and blanket for his room. Shan scored an iPad Mini, and I got my upgrade for new iphone and some new tools for the shop. Can't wait for the other surprises!

Sky Ball
Lukas has just started his Basketball season. He is playing Sky Ball league for west Salem. Last weekend he had his first two day tournament winning two out of four games and leading at half in all games. With his manmouth growth spirt he's tall. Luke punished his opponents in the paint. when he stands tall and raises his arms its a huge wingspan and very difficult to pass or shoot over him. On the offensive side of the ball he has found himself at the free throw line more and more. Once again his size makes it great!

Number Five
Here's another high school first in our camp. Robbie played his first high school basketball game. Unlike all the other basketball programs Robbie has played growing up, high school is high performance. He fought his way onto the team with his speed and sweet shots. See, he's the shortest player on the team, and when the Saxson's had their try outs they had over twenty players and only got to keep twelve. He's a perfect fit for the team and got lots of playing time in his first game. And if you look closely in one of the pictures you can see he has his toes behind the three point line when he released his first three pointer of the year. Yep number five will be lacing up the Nike's with a Saxson game face. Great job Robbie!

Introducing......?
"Little Goat!" Shan named our last chicken Little Goat. We started out with nine chickens and one by one they started disappearing. Probably hawks, racoons or escapees, Little Goat is the last lady standing. LG was traumatized for for sure seeing her girl friends go bye-by time after time. She sat in the same spot for weeks in the coop, thought she was injured but didn't want to move her. Finally weeks later I went out there and she laid an egg. So I opened up her pen so she could free range. A few days later she was out peeking around hanging out with Norman & Chewy, well now she thinks she is a goat... hangs out in the barn and lays her eggs in the barn. She is very cute!

Snow day
We finally had a snow day today. It's the first real snow day since we moved here. Our little farm house is nice and warm inside and looks way cool outside. The white snow and our Christmas lights make our house look super festive! It was a little funny to watch the neighbors trying to get up the hill. Our road is iced down, but everyone got home safe and sound. But wait... How are they going to get down this bob-sled coarse tomorrow morning and not end up face planting into hwy 22 or our house or our cars or our fence???

Holiday lights
In typical Jensen-Bese fashion we got our Christmas lights up early. Not all the decorations are up, but Santa is not gonna miss our little farm house. The white lights are up in the trees that's between the house and the office/shop. And yep, we got lights on the office too. Shan loves out door lights so here we go.... Come on Christmas
