Kahneeta twenty twelve

With the summer drawing to a close, and school starting up soon, Shan and I threw a big surprise to the boys. All we told the boys was to pack for camping, swimming, and hot weather. We drove half way there until we told them we were going to "Kahneeta" for some teepee camping and resort fun. The teepee's were big and inside had a fire box and a pick nick table. Luke was the miniture golf champ, and all the boys had fun in the pool and water slides. The weather was perfect, and it was another great time to be had.

Last Friday

Yea it's fun to go camping, boating and other fun summer functions, but there is nothing better than an old fashioned family movie night. Just the jensen-bese-camp all together taking in a movie in the living room. Hunger games was the flick and Shan had lots of treats to go with a great movie. Family movie night is a ten!

Jan's post

In true Jensen/Bese camp fashion, all of us have been wearing "No one fights alone" / "Cancer Sucks" / "Fight Like a Girl" bracelets to support Jan's fight to beat cancer. Today Jan started her chemotherapy. We all have more questions than answers as to how she will feel and do. One thing is for sure, we are all here for her to help anyway we can. As for the boys, they know their Nanie is very sick, but know she is one tuff cookie. Fight the good fight Jan you have all of us in your corner, and we know you can beat this!

Norman and Chewy update

Our Kids are doing great. Just a little over five months old, you can't hold them anymore because they are too big. Norman is for sure "special", he's not as smart as Chewy, but bigger and a better eater. He follows Chewy around, and when they nap they almost always are laying together. He's very chatty, a lot more than Chewy. They are so much fun the watch. We haven't had to mow the back area since they got their teeth; blackberries and weeds are gone. We have to pick up the fallen apples daily from our big apple tree or the kids gorge themselves on them and get tummy aches. They are super affectionate, and I love going out every morning and have them come running when I call their names.

Road trip

We put another check on our bucket list by taking a road trip to Shasta Lake. It was a no kid weekend so it was just Shan, Chris, Codie and I. It's been a while since we've done a road trip in the truck. We put almost eight hundred miles on the books and we had a great adventure. Boating on a Gargantua lake, in California, with great weather, and sleeping on the boat with our best friends was just what the doctor ordered. The water was so inviting on this beautiful lake. In the mornings we'd head to the marina and get some breakfast and at the Tail 'O the Whale restaurant, Shan ordered pancakes and got a plate size stack. We wake-boarded, wake-skated, surfed, tubed, swam, and yes...skinny dipped. It's a weekend we will never forget.
