Shan's Face lift

No not plastic surgery, but she got this crazy idea to turn our dinning room table top into a chalk board. I thought she completely lost it, but it turned out fantastic and we have been having a lot of fun with it. She got Nick and Parks to help her paint it. It took several coats of brushing and rolling a special kind of paint on it. It's already served as a greeting, helicopter landing pad, hello messages, Merry Christmas's and some great doodling. A great face lift to our old dinning room table.

Evergreen water park

Roy and Kathy gave us passes to the new Evergreen Waves and Water park for Christmas. We went and had a great time. My favorite ride was the giant funnel that spins you around and around before flushing down to the shut down area. It was so nice to spend the day just in shorts and hot, all the while it rained outside. Great Water Park and we have never been in and out of a Seven Forty Seven Jumbo Jet in one day, that much, ever.

Finally Christmas

We celebrated Christmas eve with no boys, but we had our close family over for dinner and small party (23 of us). It was a taco bar style dinner with everybody bringing their part for dinner. Family is always great to hang out with during the holidays. Christmas morning came and we got all the boys at ten in the morning and gathered at the garage door to let all the boys in at once to see what Santa brought. The boys have been great this year and Santa didn't let them down. Air soft guns, Camo fatigues, and stuffed stockings is what Santa left, along with a half eaten cookie and milk. We opened all our presents and had a special day. We are looking forward to having the boys all week till school stars next year. Happy Holidays everybody!

Christmas early?

No not really, but last Tuesday evening was our last day with all our boys before Christmas. So Nick lobbied for us to open one present. It was too hard to say no so we let them shred the wrapping paper off a present. Even though I wrapped it twice, it took only a billionth of a second to unwrap it. When the dust settled a dart board appeared. We hung it on the wall upstairs between the boy's rooms, and played some games. Come on Christmas!

Every year our family treks out to cut our Christmas tree down. Well this year is different. We planted a Blue Spruce next to our house too close and it's grown too big to be there. So as a family, we decided to cut it down and use it as our Christmas tree. Kinda cool... We planted it, grew it, and are using it as our Christmas tree, and after the holidays we are going to recycle it in our fire pit. A complete circle. The tree was a bugger to cut down, and all the boys took a turn, then I got the chain saw out and finished it off. We got it erected in the house and the boys decorated it. Great job guys and we have presents underneath it already. I have to admit, it's my favorite ever. Come on Santa!
