Basketball update
So with Robbie and Luke's "All Star East" basketball team off to a blazing start, they remain undefeated. It's so cool to have them playing together on the same team. At the last game I had to coach the team in the first quarter because the boy's coach was late from coming from a different game. I was a little nervous but was able to get a three point lead before coach Dan took over. They went on to score over fifty points and get the win. Way to go All Stars!
Fun in the snow
Our good friends Greg and Jenny Springer and their boys invited us to hang with them at Black Butte in an absolutely beautiful cabin. The cabin is set up top to bottom for gathering of family and friends. The kitchen with its two ovens, two dishwashers, huge fridge and cook top, is perfect for preparing great meals for large groups. The cabin does have all the bells and whistles with a bedrock fireplace, jacuzzi hot tub, cable TV throughout all bedrooms, kids bunk bed room, Foosball, ping pong, and the master bed room... Wow. The boys were in and out of the hot tub every day and Sunday we took them over to the indoor pool. They went down the the slide a bazillion times and discovered a steam room, and outdoor hot tub. There's just something about hot tubing when there's a couple feet of snow on the ground. On the way back we stopped at HooDoo snow park and Robbie, Luke, and I, went tubing and Shan, Nick, and Parks, went on a old fashion tailor ride through the snow. Stellar weekend, Thanks Greg and Jen for all your hospitality, great meals, and Friendship. Again! Again!

Monster Truck Show
There is no better way to take in a Monster truck show than at the Rose garden, in a suite, catered, with family and friends. We had so much fun. Right before the intermission they brought out this fire breathing hydraulic lifting, car eating dragon. It was awesome. It ripped the car into pieces like it was nothing. And the jet engine golf cart was the bomb too. Super great show and the boys really had a great time. Thanks Sara for the hook up, and all the family and friends that were there.

Where is Shan?
Has anybody seen Shan? I'm not sure if I even remember what she looks like...Just kidding, but really since she has been student teaching she's gone a lot. Out the door at seven thirty and back around four. Then back out the door at five to head to George Fox till nine thirty. Some days she doesn't even come home between schools. And her homework, and lesson plan load is at capacity, but she is doing fantastic! She loves student teaching! Yesterday was her last day at Hazel Green Elementary. Her class threw a party for her, the Principal wrote a awesome letter of recommendation, and some of the teachers took her out for happy hour after school. If anybody see's her tell her I love her. Great job Shan.

Super Bowl Sunday
Super bowl Sunday turned into Super Fun Sunday. We had some friends over for the big game. Everybody brought appetizers and dollar bills for betting. The food was stellar, and the betting was fierce. We set up a table for betting and we bet on everything from commericals to score, to penalties. At half time we had a go kart sesh, with almost everybody driving the Red Rocket. The boys got out the mini bike and scooter too. Thanks to all who brought food and especially Greg and Christina... the ribs were the bomb!
