Eric's 1st Time Boating
Eric, Robbie's school buddy and basketball teammate went boating with us. Our friends the Springer's came out with us as well. It was special day for Eric because he has never gone boating. He got to see a lot with us starting right off with some tube rides. Then a round of wake boarding, and a small pizza break. Followed up by Robbie, Cam, Chris and Greg knee boarding. We floated around, swam and saw some really cool boats and homes. Then it was time for a surf session. Finally at the end of the day Eric got to drive and did a great job, he's a natural. Eric had a great time and tells me he's going to try knee boarding next time.

Sunriver weekend
Shan and I had a great time with Dana and Sue at Sunriver over the weekend. It was a special treat for me because I have never been there. Sunriver screams "vacation"! With so much to do all in one area. We got some great sun on our skin hanging out at the pool. The water slide is a blast and just taking it down a notch lounging by the pool was nice. We biked, shopped, and had some excellent dinners. It was fun to hot tub when we got back to the house. Great fun, great food, great place, and great friends, all the ingredients for a perfect Sunriver weekend. Thanks Dana and Sue.

Water fight
It was an all out water fight yesterday with the neighbors boys joining in. The boys took advantage of the roll carts at the street and made a make shift shelter, but it got raided repeatedly, so it was probably wetter inside than out. There was no one winner, both teams won because they were soaked on this eighty plus degree day.

Shan's family fun day
Sunday, Shan woke me up and said "get up" she had planned a family fun day for us. It started off by driving to the Portland Zoo, and then we took the Max train into down town Portland to see the "Sand in the city", sandcastle function. The sand castles were way cool and the snow cones were the bomb. The boys played in the sand, drove remote control robots, planted sweet peas, and got new T-shirts. Then it was back on the Max to the zoo, for a walk through the zoo. After lunch we headed back home then to the boat club so the boys could swim and Shan and I could recover. Shan got "in touch", with some down time on the beach with me right there too. We BBQ'd up some burgers and hot dogs, and the boys hit the water one last time before going home. Thanks Shan for a great family fun day!

Funny vacation clip
We checked into our room and found the coolest bar fifteen floors below. The live music got our attention and we had to go check it out. I knew right away it was special when we first visited the bar. He took our order and brought us two Coors lights on his forehead. Check out the clip that shows him tossing a bottle down the back bar behind his back, only to catch it back, and toss it over his shoulder and land it in the mix cup and pour. Wow!!! they were very polished. When they made the tower of drinks he asked, if he could take my flip camera and put it atop of the tower and walk a lap around the bar. I was oh ya!! You can hear the sound change when he drops it in the cup. They pulled it off, but the guy who did it, had a big red mark on his forehead where the bottle was pressed on his forehead from all the weight. unfortunately I had to edit out some really funny parts because the video cant be more than three minutes. Otherwise the blog wont up load it. They kept up their antics all the time, tons of trick and the live music was great.

Go Shan!!!
Finally I've found the perfect job for Shan..... "mowing". I'm not sure about the black & pink flip-flops, or the pink toe nails, but she sure did a nice job. The tractor is loud and I can't hear a thing she says. So funny, if you look close at the pictures she's got the I Pod on, and a drink in the cup holder. Go baby go!

We are back!
We are back from our vacation camping trip to Lake Billy Chinook. We had a ton of fun surfing, wake boarding, tubing, and playing in the water. We found a cool water fall and we anchored up with our friends the Springer's, and hung out there a lot. We had a very special moment when Chris proposed to Cody in the boat, with all of us watching. Shan cried her eyes out as it was... "very special". The boys were happy and there was lots of hugs going around the boat. Now we have a Wedding to plan. Way to go Chris!
