Memorial weekend

So, with just two weeks left before the tour, lots of chores are being done around here as Shan's house is getting completed. But its not all work around here this weekend as Shan and I pulled the cover off the boat and hit the boat club for a few hours. Tony, another club member was down there riding too so we kidnapped him and we all hit the water. Later it was Chinese food and a rental movie. Today, Monday, its back to chores, its raining so no boat club this afternoon, but maybe a "date" later with my baby girl.

Shan's little House - Update!

Shan's house got a driveway and side walk today. Shan's happy with the way
it turned out, and I think it looks awesome. The cement guys worked hard to get it poured right and into place. Meanwhile Chris was back finishing the siding because tomorrow the painters start. She still hasn't even shown me or Chris the color.

I gotta say that little house rocks. The island is stellar and just everything from light fixtures to the back splashes looks great. I'm going to hold out posting pictures of inside until its done, because its close and carpet goes in on Tuesday. Fifteen days till the tour of homes and Shan's still on schedule to have her little house done.

Ferguson Lake

So finally after six months in the garage we got to get the boat out and had a boat wash/clean/organize party. Of course we had the boat tunes going and afterwards Luke suited up and as if to hit it... The dash said air temp 72, lake temp 67. Actually that would be asphalt temp 67. Luke even cuffed up. Can't hardly wait till summer.

Robbie's relay

We had a very exciting day last Saturday. High drama!!! Robbie ran in the four by one hundred team relay, racing against other schools in Salem, in the "Country Company's Relays". In the video you see Eric, who is in Robbie's class and on his basketball team. He is in lane seven, at the start, second from the top, and in orange. You will see him have a great start and pull away from the field and then hand off to Robbie. Watch that little man blaze down the back stretch. I was sitting with Dan n Cassey, Robbie's basketball coaches and Eric's Aunt and Uncle. We were all excited and thought it was funny listening to us on the video playback during the race. They ended up second, what a finish. I'm so proud of them. Great job guys!!!

Fiona vs Pebbles & BamBam???

No not really, we were not sure what would happen when we added Fiona, our turtle, to the bunny's cage. I didn't really think it would be a cage match, since both animals are at opposite ends of the spectrum. Fiona super slow but powerful with an armour shield and Pebbles & Bam Bam, lighting quick.
So we think the Bunny's love the company, and actually hang out with her. If you look close, at one of the pictures Bam Bam is sitting with Fiona. While we were cleaning the cage and getting Fiona's new crib ready the Bunny's got to run loose, and they are so much fun. And once again Pebbles got out and had to be rescued from under the front porch. Oh boy!!! Later Cwis and Shannon made a huge fire in the pit, I'm not sure but I think NASA probably thought it was a new volcano erupting!
