Robbie is 11!!!

Happy birthday to Robbie, he turned 11 on the 27Th. He had a sleepover last Saturday with two of his Buddy's from school, Eric and Noah and his brothers. They played basketball out front and on the trampoline, Nerf gun fights, golf cart rides, fire in the fire pit, candy, food, cake, pop, movie, and last but certainly not least to Robbie, presents. And on Tuesday we took him to one of his favorite restaurants for a family birthday dinner. After dinner he got to open his presents from us. Robbie was very surprised to open his one big present an "I Pod Touch". Were all very proud of that little man.

Toby Tiler Wonder Dog's new house

Jan hired Luke to to build Toby a new casa to put in her newly fenced back yard. Luke did all the work from design to completion. We are so proud of Luke for doing such a great job with the leftover lumber from next door. The front opening is cute and fits that little dog perfect. Luke also added an access door in back for maintenance. We love the bungalow style look that Luke did on Toby's new crib. I wonder where he got that idea from???

New house update

With the sheet rockers completing the sheet rock, including tape and texture, the finish carpenters moved in and started trimming out the windows and doors. Shannon also had the concrete guys out and poured the garage floor. Its been a bees hive of activity over there this morning, including the delivery of the siding package.

Marty's first race of the season!

Shan and I had a great time hanging out with Marty and Kathie this last weekend at The Woodburn Dragstrip. They drag race in a class that's called "Pro bracket", where the slower car gets a head start, and the faster car has to wait, then hunt the slower car down by the finish line. Marty actually lost the round on the video by leaving too soon, where I said he won, but he ran exactly to the hundredth of a second what he thought his car would run. That's awesome. He waited for what probably seemed like forever while his opponent is heading down track.
There were Jet cars there too. They put on a big show with lots of smoke, fire, and the whine of the jet engine is really loud, but the coolest thing about them was they ran over three hundred mph in just a quarter mile. Its a show for sure! It looked like the car was going to blow out the windows in the tower. Shan actually took her home work and got some work done in between rounds. Thanks for the hospitality Marty and Kathie and the great BBQ chicken.

Ever seen walls insulated without sheetrock?

Its kind of cool. Shan's project keeps rolling along, with the insulation installed today. It really defines the interior now that you can't see through walls. Sheet rockers tomorrow, now I'm wondering what paint colors she's going to use on her cute tour house project.

Spring weekend

It has been a very productive weekend here at the Jensen/Bese camp. The guys were working next door on Shan's house Saturday and Sunday, and they provided tons of materials for the boys to improve their fort. The hammering was coming from both directions, a lot was accomplished. The boys fort got a new roof with skylight, hard wood floors, insulation covered by new walls, a front deck entry, and a boom box. Mean while Shan's house got the siding finished and ready for inspections on Monday. When we pass they will do the insulation then sheet rock. We also watched Robbie's basketball team win another game, had our late Easter egg hunt, washed cars, and had a fire in the backyard fire pit every night, with hot dogs and anything else the boys could put in the fire. Spring has sprung.

Latest house pictures

Here are the latest pictures of Shan's project. She got the pluming, HVAC and electrical ruffed in.
Chris is in full steam ahead on the siding and windows. As soon as the siding is done, Shan will have the insulation blown-in, then sheet rockers will take over for awhile. Go Arroyo Homes!!!

Happy Easter Everybody!

From our Easter Bunny's to yours, Happy Easter every one. Today we cleaned the bunny cage, and put all new hay in there for them. Bam Bam was very busy gathering up as much hay as his mouth would allow and then transport it to his new nest he was building. Can he get anymore hay in his mouth??? Meanwhile Pebbles got out and got stuck under the cage. Shan and I had to make an emergency bunny rescue. I don't know what kind of David Copperfield move he did to get under there but we had to cut the fencing to get him out. Pebbles and Bam Bam are comfy back in their casa and found some Easter eggs of their own too.
Hope you have a happy Easter.
