Surprise!!!!!!!
Shan got me good that's for sure.... So, Thursday Jan 28Th is my 50Th birthday, and Saturday at lunch Shan asked me to be home and be ready at 2:30 because she has a small birthday surprise for me. I figured it couldn't be that big since we had plans to go to movies that night and I'm in shorts and T shirt. Boy was I wrong. Well we got in the car and headed north on the freeway. I kept trying to guess what we were doing, and where we were going. Her clues were, its romantic, and only take a few hrs. So we got into Portland, and Shan directed me downtown to the Hotel Lucia. Its a great hotel with lots of style, where we stayed once before and we love it there. I'm still in the dark on whats really happening, Shan told me she would tell me the plan once we were in the bar having a beer. Secretly she has packed a bag for us to stay over night and go out to a romantic dinner. She's soooo sneaky. So we hang out in our room, its so cool, and get dressed up for a great romantic dinner atop a high rise, downtown Portland (Portland City Grill). We get there and our reservations are for a window booth for the birthday boy view. We walk into the dinning room, its kinda dark, and I'm checking out the view, "stellar", but I didn't see any window booths open, that's when I look to the other side of the aisle and see a whole table with menus up to there faces.... well surprise!!! It's my friends!!! Thanks Marty and Kathy, Jamison and Ali, Cwis and Brandee, and Ty, my buddies, for coming and the fun that we had. After dinner we went to some really great bars, one was like an airport called Departure it was so cool. We stayed out late and had a blast. I have not had that much fun or laughed that hard for a long time. The pictures speak for themselves. We probably had more fun then we should have. Thanks to Shan too, for a great birthday present, you had me totally surprised. So fifty doesn't seem so bad when you got a super great wife, and super great friends to share with.

Boatshow
So the Jensen/Bese camp invaded the boat show and had an absolute full day of fun. The boat show is the best time of year to buy anything from boats to gear and clothes. EVERYTHING is on sale, discounted, clearanced, prices slashed, and you can barter to get the deal you want. Its a blast, I'm like a kid in a candy store. Plus see all the new 2010 boats and gear. The boys got a special treat meeting three of top wake boarders in the world. Danny Harf, JD Webb, and Keith Lyman they were super nice, and autographed their new life vests. Everything is hands on in fact the boys made wood boats, and scouted out the boats and yachts inside and out.. We got to see the new "axis", wake board boat for the first time, its way cool. Shan got a new Ronix wake board and bindings, I got a new wake surfboard. And a ton of freebies. The only problem was fitting everything in the car for the ride home. We did get everything loaded, and we cant wait to use our new gear. Lets go boating!

Hey Kit Cat!
So Shan's holiday vacation is officially over and back to the books and homework. She works so hard at it, and got straight A's last semester for her effort. I just think it is so cute. She will be a great teacher. I see how hard she works at it and clicked off a few pictures of her in action. Did you notice whats on TV in one of the pictures? Yep that's football. Sometimes Shan will come out of the office and hang with me her fifth child, while working on homework. I do keep the volume down for her. I'm also on a first name basis on our Fed X delivery guy. He teases me about just getting a lot books and not boating stuff. So lets recap... Shan is raising 5 children, that's including me, did 4 remodels last sememster, a zoo of animals, reptiles & fish, laundry, cleaning, banking, grocery's, breakfast, lunch & dinner, boys homework, band aids and ice packs... And full time school!!! And only does she do it everyday.... She does it great everyday!!!
"All stars" undefeated!!!
Yep, Robbie's YMCA basketball team goes undefeated 6-0. It was so much fun to watch the team jell. Coaches Dan and Cassy did an excellent job bringing the team together. Taylor, their tallest, biggest player, a mini Shaq, is great on defense getting most of the rebounds, and passing it off for plays to be made. Robbie is a great fit for the team, for his offence and defence. He can take it all the way or spot it up for a nice jumper. In the last game the All stars had to come from behind to win. After the game they had a pizza party where they all got awards, and got to play arcade games. Robbie signed up for another season. Lets go All stars.

Toby Tyler Wonder Dog
OK, here's...... Toby!!! This littlest man is the smallest dog I've ever seen! cutest too! Shan's mom Jan retired from being a dental assistant, to become a full time mom. Toby is so cute, and all the the boys have taken to him, but Park a lot more. Toby is about three months old, and tiny. In fact when he walks, its a wobble. So cute. Jet has found a new friend and they rough house a lot with Jet getting the brunt of the ouchies! Toby has sharp teeth and strong jaws for a pup. Kind of makes up for his size. His official name is Toby Tyler Wonder Dog. His other nick names are... The Tobster, Tobylisous, Tober, Tobski, tobstercraws, tobyonekonoby, Little one, Mini Cooper, & Mini Pooper. That little pint size loven man will crawl up on your chest and nap like there is no tomorrow. Welcome little wonder dog.

Bullwinkle fun
With the holiday vacation wrapping up, and not wanting it to end, we took the boys to Bullwinkle's for a ton of fun. Bullwinkle's is a huge two story building stuffed full of arcade games. It also has go carts, bumper boats, miniature golf, etc. Thanks Tim and Judy, my brother and his wife, for giving the boys a $50.00 gift card to Bullwinkle's for Christmas. The boys had a great time, and even Shan & I got in on the fun.
The boys got to cash in their winnings and pick out toys to bring home, Parker's new glasses fit perfectly. Afterwards, we went to Red Robin for dinner. Thanks Tim & Judy for the Bullwinkle fun.
