Thurs/Fri

Thursday was a day to regroup and prepare for our big Bingo party Friday night. Jan came down to help because the Bingo party is huge. We set up five folding tables and filled then with Bingo prizes for twenty plus family members. It was a nice day and the boys got to play outside and have a movie night in their makshift beds in the upstairs great room.

"Friday" came and Christmas eve day is always a great day. . We went to my mom's for gift exchange and lunch then hustled back home. Dinner and Bingo was the bomb! Super fun for everybody we all got a lot of fun stuff. After everyone left the boys got Santa's milk and cookies ready even with a carot for the reindeer and cheese for Santa Mouse. Then it was time for the boys to put their little heads down and fall asleep so Santa could come.

Wednesday

Wednesday was fun because Shan and Tamera took all the boys to the Dallas Aquatic center for some swimming fun. Later Brianne, Lukas and Nick's third grade teacher and long time friend and Marcus her boyfriend came over to hang with the boys and give Shan and I a date night. We went and saw "True Grit", great flick, love a good western. Shan loved it too. Back at the Casa they had "pigs in a blanket" for dinner and played WII Guitar Hero and other games. Thanks Brianne!!!

Christmas is here!

Christmas came way too fast, and was over way too early for us. The boys got us up really early because they were so excited to see what Santa brought. We all went down stairs together to discover all the stockings were full and some big cardboard boxes were stacked in the living room. The boxes were a go cart the boys have to paint and put together. Nick, Luke, and Robbie got new BMX bikes and Parks got a long board. We opened up all of the presents and then it was hugely tough to take the boys back at 10:00 am. We went from a super fun week to a silent house. It was hard. Shan and Jet are on the couch sleeping and I got the football game on. Too quite here. Missing the boys. But Merry Christmas everybody!

Tuesday

Tuesday was a fun day day for the boys as Benjamin and Noah, and Eric came over for a sleep over party. They had a fierce Air Soft gun war out in the cul-de-sac, and Nerf fights upstairs. All the boys were good and nobody lost an eye.

Merry Christmas

Its been a great week here at our camp. Christmas kick off continued all week. Here is the recap....Monday night we had Cwis & Cody over for dinner and gift exchange. Super fun night and the boys could hardly wait to give Cwis's present to him. They had picked out a pair of really skimpy undies, and we all had a good laugh followed by a group hug.

Blazer game

Last Saturday, was the boys first full day of their holiday vacation and the day was a "Ten". We headed up to Portland and went to the Nike employee store, thanks to John, Shan's uncle. The boys have been saving their money and Nanie gave the boys money too and of course so did we! And in Jensen Bese camp fashion we came out of there with a treasure trove of shoes, sweats, balls, shirts, and even socks. We shopped til we dropped, for a couple of hours, then it was time to recharge the battery's. So we hit Red Robin for a burger and sprites. With our bellies full and our battery's recharged we made our way to the Trailblazer game. And what a game it was. The boys wore their Christmas hats and flashed their signs and yelled for the Blazers. Nick got his mug on the jumbo tron and Luke got a free t shirt. We all cheered just enough as the Blazer's won by one point. Super fun day and thanks John, for the Nike experience!

Christmas vacation

It is official, it is Friday evening and the all the boys have two weeks off. Their long awaited vacation has started and there jazzed, and it feels like Christmas. After school Luke and Nick road the mini bike and gas scooter, while Robbie schooled me at basketball and Park played too. Then we put up even more Christmas decorations, as it was a nice day here cold but dry. We are going to the Blazer game tomorrow so the boys made signs to hold up at the game to get on the jumbo tron. As I'm typing this blog up on my lap top on the island in the kitchen, the boys are in the living room playing with a huge tote full of Lego's. Shan is on the couch reading People magazine with blazer game on. Jet is trying to get into the pantry to get his favorite food... pop tarts. Life is good. Happy holidays everybody!

Who's Seven???

Its ....Parker Finley Jensen! Yep, that little man turned seven and oh boy did he have fun, because he got to go to any kids wish list... "The Great Wolfe Lodge". A super fun indoor water park. It was a balmy 84 degrees and humid inside, 28 degrees and snowing outside. There is so much to do there, the boys just loved it. Not only is it a water park on steroids, it has a harry potter type game embedded into the lodge that Luke & Robbie loved. They also have a ginormous arcade, that Nick and Parker had fun in. And a super cool thing about the Great Wolfe Lodge was when you check in you get a wrist band that has you room key and credit card encoded into it so you never have to carry anything on you. Parks got a old fashion birthday party in our room and got to open his presents. Happy birthday "P".

Papa's visit!

Roy, Shan's dad has been here visiting from Alaska. All of us call him "Papa". Papa is such a great Grandpa to all the boys and he is loved more than he will ever know. To me it's a miracle in my eyes to see Shan spend time with her Dad because my Dad past away many years ago. I told Shan that I would give almost anything just to see my Dad again. So, to see them together and Shan so happy its awesome. We had some great family time together and Papa got Parker a DVD player for his Birthday. We also had a party for Papa and had fun with some close friends and surprised Papa when Julie brought Lara, one of Roy's other Grand children over to join the party. We also took him to the Evergreen Air Space museum, and Shan had some one on one time taking papa to a couple wineries for some wine tasting, and a great lunch at the Wild Pear. We had great meals and a great time with Papa schooling us in the kitchen with Yummy meals and fun hanging with Papa. We love you!!!

Coho Bowl music video

The Cowboys video trailer was a blast to make and took only 10 minutes to create. I got a new program called "iLife". It is mostly drop-n-drag type program and has a nice selection of gizmo's to make lots of cool projects. The movie has been done for a while and I've tried everything to stabilize it. Its real shaky probably the rain or my camera ability. So, it is what it is. But the Cowboys played hard in the Coho Bowl and got some good clips to remember it by. Robbie is number ten, and has a pink mouth piece. The pink is for breast cancer awareness month. Sorry for my color comments during the video, I get a little too excited, but it is so much fun to watch the boys play that hard and get the win. Great job Cowboys!!! PS-Luke's video is coming soon!

The Duck game

We had so much fun at the Duck game last weekend. Thank you Dana and Sue for taking us. We had never been to a Duck game and had no idea what a big production it is, it is so cool they are number one and that the game was on national TV was impressive. We tail gated at John and Kathy's motor home with other family and friends. Great food, ice cold beers, and great company made for a perfect start to the day. Our seats were awesome too. We sat next to the Oregon band it was on our right and the student section was to our left. It was loud, hugely loud. The Ducks took care of business and are still number one in the country..... Well that is until they play the Beavers, Hee Hee.

Parker's Christmas list

So since I've known Parker he has had a great smile with perfect teeth, and lots of them. While the other boys have been loosing teeth and getting surprises from the tooth fairy, Parker has held on to almost all of his....until lately! He started losing them kind of in a hurry, finally losing a front tooth, then the other. OK, now his smile is perfect! Ahhh.... super cute. Parker's Christmas list -- his 2 front teeth!
