Happy new year!!!

Happy new year everybody!!! Welcome twenty-ten. It was a great year even though the economy tanked. We are all still here, and we are making the best of it! And with every year there are highs and lows, our lowest low was for sure the passing of Dawson, he is so missed. The highest had to be our Alaska vacation, every day, and everything was awesome. The boys still talk about it. Good bye 2009, hello 2010. So hold on to your dreams, and live life the fullest. Peace out 2009!

We got snow!!!

OK, this blog goes out to our family and friends in Alaska. We got snow too! Not as much as you guys, but enough to see the beauty of it and play in it. But what always gets me and I love is the sound the snow makes when you walk on it. We got the snow toys out and had a blast. Jet even made some runs down the driveway. We even got the knee board off the boat and made some runs with it also....The only problem of the day was that Shan and the boys were in Portland when it started to snow and it took them 3 hours to get home:(

PJ, DJ, & BODACIOUS

The Jensen/Bese camp has grown by three. Luke, Robbie, & Nick, used their Christmas money at the pet store. Luke bought a corn snake named DJ. Robbie and Nick bought geckos named PJ and Bodacious. And not to be left out Parker bought Copper, Nick's frog, from Nick for five dollars. When I got the phone call from the pet store asking permission to buy them, I wasn't totally on board... but now I have to admit they are fun to watch. Only one catch.... what do we do when DJ is full grown??? He will be four feet long!

Football fun!

For Christmas Robbie and Luke asked for and got football gear, and as soon as the unwrapping was done, they were suiting up for the first time and hitting the field. Pads were poppin, touchdowns were made, and no injury's to report. They played on and off all day Saturday and wore their helmets inside too as they watched TV. We got them OSU jerseys with the Roger's brother numbers on them. We love to watch the Rogers brothers play, but frankly, I thought Robbie and Luke played better then the beavers did in their bowl game. But, we still love our Beavers. So I was thinkin..... if they don't end up as Trailblazers, maybe pro football. I'm smelling a Heisman trophy!

God speed Dawson

With the heaviest of hearts we had to say goodbye to our beloved Dawson. A very big blow to our family, as Dawson has been here since day one. The boys don't know life without him, and it has hit them hard. That's really tuff. Shan got Dawson over twelve years ago and what a great dog he was. This blog is so very hard to write not only because he is gone, but I can't see the keys to type through the tears. But what I really want to share is... "as much as we loved him and were good to him, he was twice as much back to us". Here are some reasons why he was so great...He never bit or hurt the boys or anybody ever. He would ring the bell on the back door when he wanted out. At our old house he learned how to turn on the bath water to get a drink. Dawson always cleaned up his dinner plate, and anybody else's too. He loved beer, and would not only drink a beer left behind but would shred the can. When we took him places he wouldn't bark or howl and was well behaved. Dawson was a lover for sure, he had a small humping problem. He was a lover, not a fighter. Dawson was always there!!! when we got up in the morning, when we got home, if we were in a good mood or bad, had company over or just him and me in the office he was always there, every day, all the time, and now he is gone. We all miss him so very much.

A Thanksgiving vaction

So Shan and I just got back from Kauai Hawaii, from our Thanksgiving vacation. Another great trip, and thanks to Roy for the experience. The weather was great, and we rekindled some old friendships, and made new ones. Miles, the long time lifeguard at the beach, gave me a surfing lesson with their rescue boards. Super fun, and later had Thanksgiving dinner with him and his girlfriend. We also have to thank Kenny for taking us wake boarding on the Wailua river. If you look behind me in one of the pictures you can see the surf from the ocean. This river runs right into the sea. Its always fun to ride somewhere new, with different boat and gear. Thanks for the pulls Kenny. We hit the beach every day with my cool little cooler that's iPod friendly. Got some sun on our skin, and melted away the stress. A great trip.

Parker turns six!!!

Yep, that little man just gained the title of "Six years old". He was king for a day at school with Costco size cup cakes for all his classmates. It was a special birthday for Parks because Roy, his PaPa, was here visiting from Alaska, he is so cool as a Grandpa. We had a small party with family, then he had a big party at Walerys Pizza with lots of friends. And after, we brought the party back to our house. Parks big present was a Tony Hawk free style bike, and he already has his first trick down, getting some speed and riding with his feet on the back pegs. Happy Birthday Parker !!!
